VideoAmp Appoints Robert Leff as Chief Financial Officer

Veteran Financial Executive, Rob Leff, Joins VideoAmp as CFO

Press Release
August 11, 2020, Los Angeles – VideoAmp, Inc., the software and data platform that specializes in the measurement and optimization of media investments across linear TV, OTT, digital and walled gardens, has appointed industry veteran, Robert Leff, as Chief Financial Officer. Leff brings decades of expertise in financial operations and business strategy to his role, where he will be integral in VideoAmp’s continued exponential growth.

This is a key hire for the company who has seen 700% growth in revenue over the past three years and a sustained double digit growth throughout the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, despite the overall macro decline in advertising spend.

Leff joins VideoAmp from OpenX, one of the largest independent advertising technology exchanges, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and oversaw financial operations and strategy. Prior to that, Leff spent the majority of his 10 plus years at Fandango as Chief Financial Officer, where he led the company through tremendous growth and international expansion, including the acquisitions of Flixster and Rotten Tomatoes, among other major deals. Previous companies also include Countrywide Financial Corp (purchased by Bank of America), Tanner & Haley Resorts, Intel, and America West Airlines.

Bringing Rob on board was a no brainer. His ability to help companies realize their fullest potential through strategic and calculated business decisions is unparalleled. We see this as the next point in maturity for our company. Rob has an incredible track record in leading previous companies through similar stages of exponential growth, taking Fandango through seven acquisitions, for example. We are really looking forward to what the next two years will hold for VideoAmp with Rob on the leadership team,” Ross McCray, Co-Founder and CEO of VideoAmp, said.

A Certified Public Accountant, Leff brings an extensive background and expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, predictive analytics and data science, operational finance, revenue management, accounting and investor relations. He will report directly to McCray.

In regard to his new position, Leff said,I can’t imagine a more exciting time to be joining VideoAmp. I truly believe in the vision and values which made accepting this opportunity one of the easiest decisions in a long time. I’m honored to be joining a best in class management team and company that is developing unique data-driven solutions for marketers.

VideoAmp’s mission is to transform the industry through smarter, data-driven solutions that minimize wasteful mass marketing and allow brands to measure performance against meaningful metrics. The company has raised $106.6 million since launching in 2014, recently securing a combined $70 million round from The Raine Group and Ankona Capital.
